Ephesians 3:14-19- Amplified Bible (AMP) - For this reason seeing the greatness of this plan by which you are built together in Christ], I bow my knees before the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, For Whom every family in heaven and on earth is named [that Father from Whom all fatherhood takes its title and derives its name]. May He grant you out of the rich treasury of His glory to be strengthened and reinforced with mighty power in the inner man by the [Holy] Spirit [Himself indwelling your innermost being and personality]. May Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle down, abide, make His permanent home) in your hearts! May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love, that you may have the power and be strong to apprehend and grasp with all the saints [God’s devoted people, the experience of that love] what is the breadth and length and height and depth [of it]; [That you may really come] to know [practically, [b]through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses [c]mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] [d]unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and [e]become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]!
In March of 2011 Ralph and I had the joy of traveling to Virginia Beach – Ralph to spend one week with James and Denise Jordon at a Father Heart A School, and me to spend a week at the beach alone with God. It was a week of great blessing for us both.
One morning during a time of prayer and rest, the tenderness of God poured forth in the sweetness of His words - a healing balm to the tender places in my heart; His words of kindness and love, bringing forth new life.
I felt a question arise from the Lord in this time set apart in prayer, “What is it that holds you back?” A good question to ponder I think, as we look for and desire to live a life without limits, a life of freedom and joy in Him. I wasn’t sure I knew the answer, but He did.
His gentle response to me -
“Where you are in judgment against yourself, there you are limited by those very judgments and you cannot move beyond. In seeing and in confessing, you can be healed. Not that I have not already forgiven you, this is so that you can forgive yourself.”
Oh the wisdom of God, and His tender care for us, as we stand with His promises in hand, knowing He cannot lie, and yet we do not always walk into the fullness of destiny He has planned.
I felt His words of comfort that all that was coming to the surface, things that I was aware of – thoughts, judgments, wrong beliefs – was indeed His great love for me. All of this was part of His perfect plan, so that I could be healed of the very things that held me back.
I heard His encouragement to place it all in His hands – that which I understood and that which I did not. Then to allow the Holy Spirit to lead me and to guide me into all truth, for He is Truth. Trust.
As I was able to listen, abide, lean on Him and learn, He assured me I could find the help and the wholeness that I needed.
In kindness He reminded me to ask the Holy Spirit, our Comforter and Friend, to help me each day, to remember, and to walk in all of His ways.
I felt His encouragement to cease from rejecting myself, my past, my mistakes, the limitations I felt I had, for God is LOVE, and we were created in love. Living in Him is living in love. Living in the love of God, loving all that He loves, includes us.
He spoke these words of life that day,
“The earth belongs to Me and the fullness thereof, therefore all I have created, is love. They call it the universal language yet it is really the language of the universe. Allow this love to fill your heart and mind, even the parts that you feel are unworthy and unlovable. They are not unlovable to Me, and it is My love that will transform them to be as they were created to be.
Thank You Father for Your words of life! How blessed are we to be loved by the God of Love. The only true and living God Who is love. His love comforts all. Conquers all. The tangible love of God transforms.
In this month of February, a month where love is celebrated in some cultures, with a mixture of customs, we are praying for God’s love, the currency of heaven, to visit you. Not just this month, but always.
We are praying for the tangible substance of His love to invade your life, bringing a revelation of how very precious you are to Him and how great His love is for you. Wide and high and deep.
God is love. His loves heals and sets us free. His love is the answer to every question, the solution to every problem, the substance of every need!
And He loves you! It doesn’t get much better than that!
Ephesians 3:20, 21: Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]— To Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen (so be it).
